I have a 2821 voice gateway with an E1 card. I have configured the router for MGCP and want to be able to test it.
How can I do this?
also will the gateway register with the callmanger even though there is no circuit plugged into the E1 card?

What version of CCM are you using, make sure it is 3.3(5) or later, as the ISR 2800 routers are new and were not available on earlier releases. If you have an earlier release and do not want to upgrade, then you will have to use H.323.

Well you can't do to much testing without a circut but if you loop it up it should at least show registered with the CCM if config is correct.
