TFPF files infected with virus

Our virus checker on unity (ver 2.4.6.135 ) failed which has resulted in approx 50 files ( all TFTP1XXX) in the directory c:\InetPub\ to be infected with the Nimda virus. The virus checker that we use is unable to correct these files and will only rename them. What are these files used for, are they important to the Unity system, can they be replaced or deleted. I am reluctant to restore these files from a back up as we do not know when they were infected. Unity is running fine without any noticeable problems.
