TFTP with Cisco ATA 186

Hello,

I am having trouble using TFTP to download/upload

provisioning data to my Cisco ATA 186. I have

two ATA's on my LAN that are working great. On my

PC (Windows 2000), I execute the following:

tftp 192.xxx.xxx.xxx GET ataxxxxxxxxxxxx file

and it eventually times out. If I set the UseTFTP

flag to 1 on the ATA, it still does not function.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance,

Stanford Hudson

Re: TFTP with Cisco ATA 186

Hi,

I have never read anything about the ATA supporting a TFTP server. Instead you can make the ATA download a config form your PC with TFTP.

Configure a TFTP server. Have the file ataxxxxxxxxxxxx (xxx.. = MAC in HEX) in binary format ready on the tftp dir.

Set the TFTP server IP and UseTFTP=1 via the Web interface of the ATA.

Then http:///refresh will download the new config.

Let me know if you need more info.
