I have a need to configure a phone system for a school that has the following requirements for the classroom phones.
1) during the day, calls to classroom phones go directly to voicemail.
2) After school hours, calls to classrooms ring the configured extensions.
3) Rules 1 & 2 should not apply to calls from office staff (or maybe just the operator if that's easier). Calls from these phones should always ring the phones.
I have successfully met requirements 1 & 2 by using CTI route points and TOD routing for the partition containing the classroom phones. Where I am having trouble is with requirement #3. How do I allow a particular phone or CSS to access phones that are in an inactive partition during the day? Do I have to build another line on every classroom phone and place it in a partition? or is there a way to allow the CSS assigned to the office staff to ignore the time schedule?
