too many active sessions for unity administration web page

Sometimes after I log on uNity admin. couple times, unity won't let me log in and prompt me the following error message:

you can't access the unity system adminnistration web page,

there are too many active sessions, try later again.

But even I clear all the seesions, it still doesn't let me access. It has to wait wait more than 15 minutes even have to restart the server. Is there a way can speed it up without waiting or restart?

Re: too many active sessions for unity administration web page

If you're just terminating your IE session without hitting the little "log off" link in the bottom left they you can "burn" a session. These are kept track of by IIS, not Unity, and the timetout for sessions is configured in the IIS admin settings. By default it's 900 seconds (15 minutes). You can shorten it up but be careful about making it too short since it'll log you out after that period of inactivity.

The short story is when terminating your SA sessions be sure to log out properly.
