Tracing a voicemail call

Hi,

I'm looking for some help in tracing a voicemail call going between two PBXs.

Two 2600s (both running IOS 12.3(11)T8) are connected to one of the two PBXs each over their E1 interfaces. All interfaces on both routers are up and going through the logs, no problems are indicated on either.

Both routers are connected to their respective LANs, which are in turn connected via LAN Extensions. IP connectivity across these links are not an issue and the links between the two LANs are also fine.

What I am looking to do is have a user try to setup a voicemail call and then trace it from one PBX going over its router and watch it go out the other router to its PBX.

Assuming this is possible, which debug commands should I use for this?

Hopefully this is enough information to go on.

Many thanks for all and any help.

Leo

Re: Tracing a voicemail call

try to do it from the voice mail server itself.

Check debug list in the voice debug tool

Re: Tracing a voicemail call

If those E1s are PRIs use debug isdn q931 to show call setup.
