I have Unity 3.0.2, and CCM 3.1(2c) lastest TSP. I'm having dificulty with a call handler transfering to and extension when the schedule is closed, I just doesn't transfer at all, and askes the caller to leave a message.

I want calls that come to this handler after 5pm to ring and extension..... i.e. afterhours line, any suggestions to what I might be doing wrong?

Thanks much, and Happy Holidays!

Ken

The most common problem is that folks have the after greeting action set to "send to greeting for" a call handler (which will skip the transfer attempt on that target call handler) instead of "attempt transfer for".
check the after greeting action on the closed greeting for this guy. To do what you want it needs to be set to "attempt transfer for" another call handler that's setup to ring the phone you want. Make sure the target handler is configured to have it's transfer rule active (you may consider just activating the alternate transfer rule since this ensures it'll be active all the time).
Thank you for the quick reply, I set up another handler to handle the transfer. However, It is still not working. The handler is passing the the call the the closed greeting, then ig starts up the interview handler. I've checked the handler, and no where is this one set to go to the interview handler.
Okay, I did something and it's working now. Must be Friday Syndrome... Anyway when I checked all the settings, and then saved, it started working. My Standard transfer and Closed transfer work from the same call handler!!!! YEAH, thanks for your help!
if it's going to the interview handler, somewhere it's set to go to the interview handler. We're not hard wired to reference that guy anywhere so it wouldn't just go there unless the handler was configured to do so.
check the after greeting action for ALL greetings on the openeing greeting call handler (one you may not think is being activated could be triggering). You can record seperate greetings for each one to make sure you know which one is getting hit and being acted on.

The below trick might come handy when you have to add a new node to a cluster but you don't have or is unsure of the security password for the publisher. This procedure has been around for ages.
1) Login into the CLI of the Publisher.
