Transfering to non-VM extensions

I am using the Unity 3.1 Attendant (with CallManager 3.2) to handle incoming calls. I want callers to be able to transfer to to extensions that don't actually have users related to them, such as meet-me conference extensions and pilot points.

What is the best method for making this possible? Do I just add bogus subscribers with the extensions I need? I configured lots of meet-me numbers, so this could add up fast. Any advice is appreciated!

Thanks,

Mike

Currently the only way to do this is to use call handlers or subscribers (I strongly reccomend using call handlers since they wont cost you a license!). If you need to create a bunch of call handlers for a lot of numbers you can consider using the Bulk Handler Create tool on AnswerMonkey:

http://www.answermonkey.net/App_bulk_handler_create.htm

In Unity 4.0 there will be a "system transfer" conversation supported that will allow callers to enter any number they want to transfer to so long as it meets the limits of the restriction table you configure for it (i.e. so folks can't rip you off for long distance calls). This will be an optional item administrators can link off a one key rule on a call handler or a subscriber, it wont be something active for anyone and everyone calling into the system.

Can you point me anywhere that explains how I need to configure a call handler to do this?

This information can be found in the Cisco Unity System Administration Guide
