Hi there,

A customer of mine pointed out a certain issue to me. When creating his situation on my demo-system I noticed the same problem. Both me and my customer use Unity 3.02 and Callmanager 3.11.

Situation:
4200 is used as a CTI route point to forward to an Unity Call handler (4200) which plays a recording and then transfers to a subscriber. This subscriber is set to "Ring subscribers extension (5300)" using the tranfer type "Release to switch". Ext 5300 is a webattendant pilot group

When you dial ext. 4200 you hear the call handlers welcome message followed by the Unity transfer message. Then you get transferred to one of the lines of the webattendant.

Problem:
Ext. 4201 dials ext. 4202. Ext. 4202 transfers (supervised) ext. 4201 to CTI route point 4200. Ext. 4201 is placed on hold and ext. 4202 hears the call handlers welcome message followed by the Unity transfer message and then silence. The lines on the webattendant do not ring, but after a while ext. 4202 is prompted to leave a message for subscriber 5300.

If ext. 4202 perfoms an unsupervised transfer to 4200 ext. 4201 hears the call handlers welcome message followed by the Unity transfer message and gets forwarded to the webattendant.

I think Unity is having problems transferring a call from an extension that has a call on hold.

Can you tell me if this is a known problem?

Kind regards,

Freek van den Heuvel
Triple P - Networking & Telecom Services
4131 PN Vianen - The Netherlands
