Re: translation pattern in Cisco 3845 and CCM

Can you please paste the configs with the translation pattern, dial-peer and voice-port commands?

Re: translation pattern in Cisco 3845 and CCM

translation-rule 1

Rule 1 ^8 628

!

voice-port 0/3/0:23

!

dial-peer voice 1 pots

destination-pattern 9.T

progress_ind progress enable 8

incoming called-number .

direct-inward-dial

port 0/3/0:23

!

Carrier in HK only forward the last 3 digit numbers (8XX in our case) and we would like to translate the DID numbers into 628XX 5-digit internal calling numbers.

When we added "translate called 1" under voice-port 0/3/0:23, no incoming call from PSTN.

When we removed "translate called 1" under voice-port 0/3/0:23, and added translation pattern (8XX to 628XX) in CCM, it worked fine. Thank you in advance.

CCM version is 4.1(3) and runnig MGCP with 3845 T1 module.

Re: translation pattern in Cisco 3845 and CCM

Try adding the tranlation rule under the dial-peer.

dial-peer voice 1 pots

translate called 1

Re: translation pattern in Cisco 3845 and CCM

Thanks.

We'll try it in the lab later as this issue is fixed now when we added the "translate called 1" command under SRST configuration. PSTN incoming calls can be received now during SRST operation.

call-manager-fallback

secondary-dialtone 9

max-conferences 8

limit-dn 7960 2

ip source-address XX.XX.XX.XX port 2000

max-ephones 20

max-dn 40

translate called 1

time-zone 43

Any idea what's the different between the below two commands?

dial-peer voice 1 pots

translate called 1

voice-port 0/3/0:23

translate called 1

Thanks in advance.
