Re: translation pattern need help

I will assume you have CallManager. In CCM you will configure a Translation Pattern with the pattern of 006328331234 and set the "Called Party Transform Mask" to 8331234. The inbound Gateway's CSS will need to contain the partition you assing to the translation pattern. The Translation pattern's CSS will need to contain the partition of the Route Pattern pointing to the gateway that has 8331234.

More info regarding translation patterns can be found here:

Re: translation pattern need help

I dont CCM. We are using VM gatekeeper.

See below my translation config.

translation-rule 4

Rule 0 ^6328 8

dial-peer voice 19 voip

destination-pattern 63.T

translate-outgoing called 4

session target ras

Re: translation pattern need help

Looks like the translation rule should work. You can try the cli "test translation-rule 4 6328XXXX" and see if it replaces the 6328 with an 8....

Also, take a look at "debug ras". Does the ARQ contain the 63 pattern?

How is the number presented to the inbound gateway from the PSTN, ie, beginning with 00 or with 63?

Re: translation pattern need help

Yes you are correct Kevin I can not figure out why the translation rule is not working.

See below the RAS log, nothing there the number to the inbound gateway. From your own experience, what are the other things we need to look closer or either configuration to fix this issue.

Re: translation pattern need help

Sorry, we need to look at "debug h225 a" along with the "debug ras". This should show you the h225 message being sent to the GK and should provide you with the called number.

Attached h225 and ras debug. Do you have any thoughts about this log?
