'TRaP' meaning

Can anybody explain me what TRaP (telephone record and playback) is necessary for ?

I met this term in VM Port function list:

- Answer Calls

- Dialout MWI

- Message Notification

- & TRAP ?

Please, advice an examples of application, if possible.

Hi Tobivan,

TRAP Connection - One such application is the Media Master Control;

Check this check box so that subscribers can use the phone as a recording and playback device in Cisco Unity web applications and e-mail clients. Assign TRAP Connection to the least busy ports.
