Having trouble importing several users into the new 4.0(3) system. These users were @ once users in an old 3.x system that was not properly removed from AD. Using GSM i was able to import some of the old users but certain ones will not reimport. Is there anyway to clean them up using ADSEDIT or something more intrusive? GSM won't delete the subscriber or reimport. The SA won't even list them.
You might want to run the same query with ADSIEdit and see if the user shows up. If not you should inspect the object and these properties to see what they have set. The object must have a value set for homeMDB and mailNickname, must not have a value set for ciscoEcsbuUMLocationObjectId and the objectCategory must equal person.
GSM should clean the object but you might want to try the Remove Subscriber Properties tool:

By the way, that same functionality you see in the "bunny killer" is found in the Global Subscriber Manager tool that's already on your system (you'll find it in the tools depot on the desktop).
