Turning off Cisco Messaging Interface

I have CM 3.3 and Unity 2.4.6(161) and TSP 7.02. Is it necessary to turn off Cisco Messaging Interface or can I leave it running? I know there are problems in the past if this service is running, but is it still the case with CM 3.3

Re: Turning off Cisco Messaging Interface

With CMI, the problem isn't with it running; it's when the service gets configured. Still, since you don't need it I would turn it off. No need to waste system resources on something you don't need and honestly each additional piece of code opens the opportunity to system failure.

Hope this helps,

Keith
