Moving unity mbxs from x5.5 to E2k. At the last step of rerunning the config setup tool, I tried logging in with the Unity admin account but, found out that it had been deleted from AD. After getting TAC involved we were able to get Unity 3.13 working again. However, I didn't realized that the UMR kicked in and was not delivering messages to the exchange servers. Event logs are getting the following type of errors:
Event Type: Information
Event Source: AvUMR_MC
Event Category: UMR Thread Error
Event ID: 104
Time: 5:52:27 AM
SERVER EXCHANGE Not Avilable. Messages for Alias [CRH4] could'nt be delivered on line 1015 of file e:\views\Unity126.96.36.199\un_Conv3\UnityUMR\AvUMRSyncSvr\UMRThread.cpp
After several hours of troubleshooting, we discovered that the Unity service account we thought got deleted was not totally deleted, even though we could not see it or test for it, there was a stub left somewhere in AD. We had recreated the account and continued using it but, were getting the errors posted. We were not able to remove the ghost account so, we created another service account with a different name.
