Unable to Connect to Cisco Unity Database - License Wizard

Getting an error that states that 'unable to query the license service (AvLic). You should open the licensing utility and check for alerts. Context: GetEffectiveLicense' followed by hex codes for invalid connection string attributes.

When I launch the licensing utility, I get an error that states that the utility is unable to connect to the Cisco Unity Database and that I should check the account permissions on the Cisco Unity database.

Question is, what should I be checking for and against?

Re: Unable to Connect to Cisco Unity Database - License Wizard

Which version of Unity are you running here?

Was this on a new installation or an upgrade of a previous version?

I've seen similiar errors that have to do with the license wizard not getting the proper server name out of a table in the DB that had to do with a DiRT bug from some time ago - but if this is a new install that wouldn't be the case - on an upgrade it'd only be the case if you'd done a DiRT restore with a version a few months old...
