unable to connected to exchange2000 using NT4.0

Folks,

I am unable to connect to exchange 2000 server using NT 4.0 outlook express. I can ping the name and have no problem in name resolution. but when i go to microsoft outlook, and type in the mailbox name, it tells me that it could not find that name on the server. Any help would be highly appreciated.

What exactly are you trying to do? Where's Unity in the picture?

There could be two things in your way... Most likely:

When accessing your mailbox via POP, you have to fully qualify the username and domain In the account setup.

Let's say your username is "jdoe" and the domain is "home". The userid would be: "home\jdoe"

The other potential issue: Make sure that the user has the right to log on locally to the server that Exchange is running on.
