user MWI lights indicating new VM. When calling into Unity - Unity indicates no new messages. Unity shows MWI should be lighted. Deleted VM box and recreated. Same issue. Is there a way to use Outlook Web Access to look inside the mailbox? Or better yet, what tools are available to see contents of mailbox.

as you said , you can use OWA
go to
http://untiyservername/exchange
or http:// ipaddress/exchange obviously.
or you can go into exchange system manager if 2k and go to mailboxes and look to see if there are contents of the mailbox you are looking for. or you could install outlook on unity and connect with a mapi client or you can go to my computer then to the M; drive and drill down to see whats in the mailbox there or you can use exmerge....................

What version of Unity and Exchange is this? You can use Outlook Express to log into the mailbox just like you would email. Also, take a look at these two links for help troubleshooting this:
