We are getting the read receipt message in voicemail boxes occasionally. It says your message to an unknown caller could not be delivered, while we have no knowledge of trying to send a message. Do you guys have any idea what can I do to resolve this issue?
When Unity is playing the "read reciept" over the Phone TUI.In this scenario user A must be sending an email to other user B by requesting a read receipt for the email message by choosing the message option in outlook "request a read receipt for this message" So when user B actually receive and reads the message user A gets back the read reciept
When you send an email to lets say email@example.com and this user doesnt exist you get an NDR. nondeliver reciept
You can use Unity Tools Depot/ Advanced Settings tool, and set the option Conversations - Exclude all Receipts from voicemail stack (changing it to 1)

The count of new voice messages is announced to the subscriber, but the new messages are never presented. Subscribers will be unable to ever retrieve their new voice mail messages.
With Cisco Unity integrated with an Exchange message store, "Exclude All Receipts" is set in the registry at HKLM\Software\Active Voice\Conversations\1.0
This is fixed in Unity 4.2.
Set "Exclude All Receipts" to zero in the registry at HKLM\Software\Active Voice\Conversations\1.0
Please note that this will cause receipts to be played back in the user inbox. To avoid this, obtain the Engineering Special for this defect and install in on your Unity system.
