Unity 2.3.6 has not been qualified or tested with IE 6.0. So we cannot say yes or no on whether you will have problems. You should try it out in your own labs before you decide to roll it out on a customer site.
It is an unsupported configuration and as such you will not get any support from the Cisco TAC team if there are issues.
Unity will support IE 6.0 from version 3.1 onwards.
I do not have access to the release notes for that release, but the browser versions that the product was tested with are listed in there. We will support service packs on that version of the browser, but not browsers that are newer.
The only thing I can think of for the customer if they want to go to a newer version of IE, is to upgrade to a newer version of Unity.

The below trick might come handy when you have to add a new node to a cluster but you don't have or is unsure of the security password for the publisher. This procedure has been around for ages.
