Unity 3.1 in a Groupwise Environmen

I have a customer who is a pure(mostly) netware shop, currently running Netware 5.x with NDS 7, about to move to edirectory. Groupwise 5.5 is the standard, and they probably will not be moving away from that for at least 3 more years. Here are my questions:
1. Will the Groupwise 5.5 Connector for Exchange work with Unity Unified Messaging, or is Unified Messaging just not possible in this environment? Here is the feature set from the Groupwise Connection:
2. How does Unity work in an eDirectory environment? Do I have to setup Active Directory with Microsoft's NDS syncronization tool(yuck) or can I use the eDirectory API's that allow Exchange 2000 to operate in a pure NDS environment?
3. What advice can you give me for operating Unity and Personal Assistant in a Novell environment?

Thank you for your time.

Re: Unity 3.1 in a Groupwise Environmen

Here's a post from a while back on the 2.x forum that goes into a little detail why the Groupwise connector isn't going to get you from A to B for unified messaging:

Unity talks directly to AD or the Exchange 5.5 directory (depending on what you're hooked up to), it does not talk to any other directory. As such you'll have to synch your data to AD if you wanted that to work.

I can't speak to PA, but there's no support for working with Unity in a Novell environement at this point (and it's not on deck for the near term that I know of... Domino is coming out this summer and that has us pretty occupied). I guess my advice would be to proceed with caution. If they want to go with a voice mail only solution, great, but I don't think you'll be able to make this fly as anything close to "unified" messaging.
