Unity 3 Enterprise

Are there any licensing issues with using Exchange Enterprise for Unity that is running VM only? I know the VM Runtime Edition of Exchange was for VM environments, but what do you do when the message store needs to be larger than 16GB? Any issues with upgrading two production Unity 3.1.5 VM running the Runtime Edition to Enterprise Edition?

My steps from what I’ve gathered thus far are:

Insert Exch 2K Enterprise CD

Reinstall Exchange

Restart

Am I missing anything? Is there a doc you can point me to?

Also - does the CD Key that comes with the Unity CD pack work for Exchange Enterprise Edition?

Thanks much!

checking with the product folks the answer is no to the enterprise edition - Microsoft's license agreement with us for the VM runtime was specific to standard and standard only.

If you need more message store space the way to do it I think would be to install another Exchange server with the VM edition (you can install as many copies of this on seperate servers as you want as long as they're used exclusively for VM messages off your Unity server). Then move users between the servers to load ballance appropriately.
