Unity 3.x Disaster Recovery

Hello:<br><br>Unity 2.6.x to 3.x has changed a lot. Is there any documentation on the recommended procedures for backing up a Unity 3.x server with the following installation.<br><br>Windows 2000 Active Directory<br><br>Exchange 2000 (What specifically to backup, Information Store/Mailboxes)<br><br>SQL 2000 (What databased to specifically backup)<br><br>Open File Agent (Is this necessary with the Unity Application)<br><br>Also along these lines, do you have any documented procedures (If the customer uses an approved product like Veritas Backup Exec, to perform the recovery). The related steps/procedures involved.<br><br>Thanks as always.<br><br>

Re: Unity 3.x Disaster Recovery

The Unity 3.0 troubleshooting guide has some information on disaster recovery " target="_new">http:// in Chapter 1.

BackUp Exec by Veritas is the solution that has been qualified for use with Unity, and is mentioned in the instructions.

If Cisco Unity is installed on a domain controller or a domain controller/global catalog server, you need to take additional steps to restore Exchange, SQL, and the Active Directory. Refer to the Microsoft website for information about restoring Exchange, SQL, and the Active Directory. We do not provide step by step documentation for the MS components of the solution.

Re: Unity 3.x Disaster Recovery

The backup and recovery information is available in the system admin guide with Unity 3.0. Here is a link to the Maintaining Unity chapter that has details about the backup -
