Just to follow up on this - the fine folks in QA passed on that they had, indeed, tested this configuraiton and it's supported. Here's a link to the official support matrix for client software vs. back end Unity version:
I processed my key upgrade request at the site listed - but it's currently manual and it gave me an email address of email@example.com which bounced - just on a whim I tried firstname.lastname@example.org and it didn't bounce - but I'm not sure that means it's right - can someone confirm if this was the right approach and it's just going to be a delay for a few days because of the demand?
