Hi -
Since upgrading this past weekend, I am seeing this error periodically in the application log, "Within the past 60 minutes, the AvDSGlobalCatalog service failed each attempt to complete a full directory synchronization between the SQL database on the Cisco Unity server and the directory." I am not having the problem associated with CSCdw14838 and can see the domain list when selecting a new subscriber for import. I did, however, try the procedure to stop the service, recreate the registry key DirSynchGlobalCatalog, and then restart AvDSGlobalCatalog before posting this entry. I also ran DohPropTest.exe and noticed that the GC Monitor display field was blank before I recreated the registry key and populated with my correct GC information following the registry update. I did the TotalResync. While an annoyance, my Unity functionality does not seem impaired. What do you recommend next? I've not yet opened a TAC case, which I can do and include the necessary trace info.
Thanks,
Ginger

I had the same problem and the TAC sent me this link and suggested it wouldn't hurt to install the Engineering Special, http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/Support/Bugtool/onebug.pl?bugid=CSCeb07397
and the ES10 fix. This seemed to do the trick for me.

Hi -
Although I'm not seeing the 'E_ADS_BAD_PATHNAME' in my micro trace for AvDSGlobalCatalog, I am seeing a message for each of my distribution lists,
"10:08:33:906,AvDiagnostics_MC,1678,6404,-1,DSGlobalCatalog,10,spObj->Get(LDAP_LocationId) failed in CAvDirDistributionListObj::UpdateModifiedDlMember([dn]D00322163C53D64492A8B7BD2507BA8F) for D-list([dn]CN=MIS Systems Support OU=Groups DC=pwa DC=saccounty DC=net) 0x8000500d
10:08:33:907,AvDiagnostics_MC,1664,6404,-1,DSGlobalCatalog,12,CAvADConnection::GetGroup
10:08:33:906,AvDiagnostics_MC,1664,6404,-1,DSGlobalCatalog,12,CAvADConnection::GetIADs
10:08:33:907,AvDiagnostics_MC,1665,6404,-1,DSGlobalCatalog,12,CAvADConnection::GetIADs,0x00000000,S_OK
10:08:33:906,AvDiagnostics_MC,1665,6404,-1,DSGlobalCatalog,12,CAvADConnection::GetGroup,0x00000000,S_OK"
Is this close to matching the bug CSCeb07397 and should I request ES10 from TAC?
Also, I'm just now getting this error showing from CiscoUnity_Authentication,
Error from Win32 call to LookupAccountName: error 0x800706FC The trust relationship between the primary domain and the trusted domain failed.
Thanks, Ginger
