Unity 4.0.3 in a mixed exchange 2000/2003 environment

a new exchange 2003 has just been introduced into an existing environment with unity 4.0.3 and exchange 2000. As a test 1 user's mailbox has been moved to the exchange 2003 server. That user can receive voice mail in there inbox but when they dial into unity and login Unity responds with: "sorry this system is temporarily unable to complete your call".

Any advice on how to resolve this issue?

For Unity to service mailboxes on both Exchange 2003 and Exchange 2000 you must have the Exchange 2003 System Manager installed on the Unity server and the partner Exchange server must be an Exchange 2003 server. You can change the partner Exchange server be running the Cisco Unity Message Store Configuration Wizard from add/remove programs in the control panel. Also you should re-run the permissions wizard before the Cisco Unity Message Store Configuration Wizard so that rights are set on the store(s) of the new Exchange 2003 server you have introduced to the environment.
