Is changing the name of the Unity server supported by TAC?

This is not a easy procedure. I cannot confirm whether TAC will or will not support it. You will need to ping TAC for it.

As you can see, it not a easy process. If possible, run it once in a lab before trying it out on a acustomer site.

The rule of thumb is that not officially documented = not officially supported. Once something has been tested and qualified Cisco will document it on CCO. Changing the name has not been tested, qualified and thus not documented or supported.

TAC support only that which the business unit which develops Unity supports. Since the business unit which develops Unity does not support changing the name TAC does not either.
