I am going to be doing a Unity migration for a customer 2.46 to the latest. Their current server does not do any RAID and the customer would like to interface the server w/ a Xiotech Magnitude via Fiber Channel. They have all their servers configed this way and would like Unity to become part of the standard.
I told them sounds great, but let me check to make sure. What I did tell them is that TAC would probably only support the Unity application and software related problems. Anything to do with the SAN is out of the question.
Are there any limitations for the customer doing this?
Thanks.

Unity connecting to a SAN has not been tested and as a result, is not supported by Cisco. I am not aware of any plans or roadmaps to qualify this type of configuration.

If Unity is pointed to a off box message store, and the exchange on that off box message store is using a SAN, why would Unity even care? IT sounds more like a MS/Sxchnage issue at that point.....

Your right and that configuration is fine. You just can't connect Unity directly to the SAN.
