I reviewed a recent SRST update document located at (watch word wrap):
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/sw/voicesw/ps2169/products_feature_
guide09186a0080108e50.html#28220
I am trying to understand if this update in fact allows Unity to be used in
a SRST environment with IOS 12.2.11YT release.
I have not seen anything in the Unity 3.x release notes about this new
feature.
The article can be interpreted as Unity can be used with SRST and/or it can
also be used with legacy voice mail systems via analog.
The only drawback appears to be a lack of MWI.
Can Unity 3.x be used succesfully with SRST. How do you associate the
SRST gateway with Unity (as a redundant CCM in the TSP perhaps)?

After reading this doc (my first time too) it looks like SRST 2.1 only supports an analog integration with Unity or any other PBX.
A Skinny (SCCP) integration is what I believe your looking for but this isn't it. I have spoke with product marketing about adding this type of support into the Unity TSP (changes need to be made in SRST too) but nothing is planned yet.

The guide above specifies that this is with *centralized* voicemail. I.e. phones go into SRS mode, they can hit messages and get their personalized greeing.
This is *not* where Unity can reside at the remote site and register with an SRS gateway.
MWI is an issue, as mentioned.
