Our training guru sez:

===================
Right now, being certified on any version of Unity 2.x is fine. All Active Voice Unity certifications are being accepted.

At the point at which Unity (or the environment in which it lives) changes significantly, there may be a need for recertification. Cisco reserves the right to require recertification, but advance notice will be given to all people currently holding certificates and there will certainly be a grace period of some length in there as well.

I would predict that Unity 3.0 will likely require a recertification (or at least it'd be a real good idea to come back and go through the class anyway). 3.0 is going to be a much different ballgame than 2.x.

Thanks for the info. Although I'm not currently working with a Unity system I may want to keep the certification for the future.

Do we have ETA on Version 3?

Not yet... it's under development and when we're ready to roll to field test with it, we'll let folks know.

How does a person go about getting Unity certified these days? Do you still go to ActiveVoice for the classes -- or has that been taken over by Cisco? I didn't see any Unity courses listed on either ActiveVoice's site or Cisco's...

Cisco (and it's contracted training partners) are taking this over for Unity training.

Keep an eye on:

and watch for the Unity courses to show up over the next couple of weeks. They're not out there yet, but they're coming soon.
