UNITY INSTALL

get LDAP services disabled for site error when try to install unity 2.4.6 on W2K server with Ex 5.5.<br>site and server protocol configs show LDAP enabled on port 389<br>choosing another port ie. 2015 does not work get same reply<br>why is LDAP showing enabled at config sites and setup is sending error message ?<br><br>

Win2K uses 389 for it's own purposes (more to the point, Active Directory uses it). Change it at the site level, make sure the server is set to use the site values (use something like 1010 or 1024... those are pretty safe) and reboot your server. The change wont trickle down without doing that sometimes.

When you run the setup after that and enter the LDAP port number you selected it should go through fine.
