Unity installation problem

There is a Dell server installed NT4.0, MS Exch 5.5 & Unity 2.4.6 program. The program will install in following sequence : NT4.0->SP3->IE5.5->Exch5.5->Exch5.5 SP4.0->SP6a->MDAC 2.5;<br>Then install Unity, a error prompt "Win32 error:in H:\CommSvr\Sources\SysCheck\PreInstallMiscTests\AvlsRequiredIISInstalled.cpp line:77, hr=2, The system cannot find the file specified."<br><br>Is there anyone have idea or come across? Please advise!<br><br>Thanks,<br>Edward Leung<br><br>

Re: Unity installation problem

I'm assuming this is a 2.4.6 build 126 or later installation that you downloaded (i.e. you are not installing off of production CDs you got from us directly). Check the release notes, it sounds like you are running into a known problem where the install path cannot have a space in it (this has been fixed but is not yet in the field). If you copied your 2.4.6 install files to a directory, make sure the path has no spaces in it. If it's a network drive, map a drive letter to it.

Re: Unity installation problem

This is a valid product ordering from Cisco. There is also space (about 18GB) on the local drive to hold the program.
Please raise out if any situation need to aware.

Re: Unity installation problem

Looking at that error message it appears you're missing some part of the IIS installation (did you properly install the Option Pack?). Run through the install steps in the Installation guide (you'll find it in PDF format under the \Documentation directory on CD #1 of your disk set). This covers the NT 4.0 install, the Win2K install is covered in the README.HTM file in case you ever need to do that.

Re: Unity installation problem

had this same problem and it was b/c I didn't have IIS installed --- go to Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs>Add/Remove Windows Compenents> Internet Information Services (IIS)
*make sure you re-apply the Windows Service Pack AND apply/re-apply any IIS patches after installing IIS!!!
