Hello guys,
I am installing a 4.2 Unity(UM) but didn't recieve the PAK number yet. Will the installation prompt for the License at the end of the installation or at the beginning? I have two days to bring the unity up and can't wait for the License. Is there anyway that I can finish the installation and then install the licenses. Can I go with the demo version and then install the lisence once I receive them?
Thanks,

Yes, License installer is one of the steps for installing Unity (CUICA).
You can just go ahead and install demo lic and continue with installation.
Then just contact us (send email to licensing@cisco.com) to get the proper .lic file).

What do I need to send you to get the licenses?
Thanks,

You need to send to licensing@cisco.com the MAC address of the server, your contract number and the number of licenses that you need.
If you have any other Unity questions you need to post your question to the Unified Communications Applications forum, not on this one.

Hi Bahman,
Maybe this info will help;
You will need to provide the mac for the NIC on the server you are using. If the server contains more than one NIC, one value will appear for each NIC. Use the value for the primary NIC.
Ordering a Cisco Unity 4.0(x) Time-Limited Demonstration License File

Ordering a Cisco Unity 4.0(x) Standard License File to Convert a Demonstration System into a Standard Cisco Unity System

Thanks Ron,
I can't find the step 2 in the following address
http://www.cisco.com/go/license
but I sent an email to licensing@cisco.com providing the MAC Address of the server. Would that be enough?
Thanks,

Hi Bahman,
That should be a good start. Licensing is usually really pretty quick to respond, so you will probably receive an email reply shortly. If you do not I would give them a call as I understand that there is a sensitive time issue with your install;
Call the Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) and ask for the Licensing Team:
In the U.S. 800 553-2447
Outside
the U.S. For your local Cisco TAC phone number, refer to the website http://www.cisco.com/warp/public/687/Directory/DirTAC.shtml.
Hope this helps!
