unity messaging system - server not being replicated

I'm reconfiguring a server running 3.1.5 attached to exchange 5.5 to now connect to exchange 2000.

The account Unity messaging system - server name exist in active directory but not in exchange 5.5

We have a teo way connector that do work ok.

I believe I need to create that mailbox in exchange 5.5 first to have it replicated after in active directory.

I was going to follow the instruction for one way connector found here

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/customer/products/sw/voicesw/ps2237/products_installation_guide_chapter09186a00800808e5.html#1510908

but the document says to not name the mailbox Unity Messaging System - <servername>

So I don't know If I should delete the current Unity Messaging System - <servername> from active directory anymore or if I should just create a new mailbox in 5.5 with a different name?

Thanks

-Boris

Re: unity messaging system - server not being replicated

I would add the new account and follow the steps in the doc. Once it is complete and things are working you can delete the current Unity Messaging System - account.

Thanks,

Keith
