Hi, I have Unity 3.03 installed and I need to move it to another physical server platform. Is there any clean way to do this while retaining my user and SA type settings?

Exchange on or off box? The only supported mechanism for the moment is a full tape backup/drive image/whatever and snap it onto another box (same server name, same Exchange connections etc...).
I'm working on a disaster recovery tool for 3.x that will let you back up Unity specific data and restore it to another server running a clean copy of the same version of Unity (this can be on a different server name). It's in lab test with the QA folks at the moment. Exchange 5.5 is giving me grief but the E2K stuff seems to be flying right. I'll post a note out here when I publish this tool on AnswerMonkey (yes, it will end up finding its way onto a Unity release sooner or later as well).

Exchange is on-box. Thanks for the heads-up on the disaster recovery tool...

The DRT, however, doesn't deal with Exchange message stores... if it's an on box scenario with messages and all that good stuff hanging around, you need to do a standard Exchange backup and restore using a backup tool that supports it. The rest is handled but I don't delve into the message store itself.

I'm gonna need it to move my Unity over to a Cisco "approved" platform.
I'm running Win2K, MSDE and I use the connector to get to my separate Exchange box.

offbox is, in fact, what DRT is designed for.
Do a backup with DRT Backup
Plop another server down (named whatever) install everything up to the point where Unity is running as a nice, fresh install (pointed at your off box Exchange server)
Run the DRT restore, reboot and you should be in business.
That's the plan, anyway. On box Exchange doesn't really cause any problems other than it's up to you to move the messages for users that may be homed on that box before taking the server out of commission, the tool doesn't do that for you.
