I have a unity setup with multiple partitions - and if I have a phone at a remote site - the MWI doesn't work - if I set the partition to the local (unity) side (on the remote phone)- then MWI works - MWI always works via. MWIon/off called from remote phone.
Unity Build 2.4.6.135

It could be an issue with the codec used by the Unity. The default codec is G711 and you will have an issue if you are connecting via G729. If you wish to use G729 try this link.

We are currently using G.711 - and without transcoding is the ONLY way to currently support SRST and connection to Unity. I will change to G.729 once the MGCP SRST gateway support is in place in the IOS on the routers.

Make sure the calling search space for the partition with the Unity ports allows for dialing the internal DNs of the phones you're trying to light the MWI on.
