Unity not hearing key press quick enough

Anyone ever experienced with Unity not "hearing" the touchtones quick enough? So let's say a call from the PSTN comes in and Unity answers the call and a user presses 711 to dial that extension. If the user presses the keys in a normal manner, Unity will sometimes say that that was not a valid option. If you press the buttons slower, then Unity will transfer the call.

Any ideas...

If you are having problems with tone recongnition due to inter-digit delay or touchtone duration, TAC should be able to help.

However, if the problem is happening only on calls from outside callers, the problem may be in the way the phone system or PSTN gateway passes digits to Unity, especially if the integration is digital or TAPI. Furthermore, if the problem is isolated to cell phone callers, keep in mind that different carriers (and even different relay towers) will vary in the way they pass DTMF to Unity, so it may be an external issue better solved at the source.
