Unity not taking calls

Unity failed last night. A reboot solved it, but I would like to try and figure out the cause. I received the following error:

The COM+ Services DLL (comsvcs.dll) was unable to load because allocation of thread local storage failed.

Process Name: AvCsMgr.exe

Error Code = 0x80070008 : Not enough storage is available to process this command.

COM+ Services Internals Information:

File: .\comsvcs.cpp, Line: 289

Is this talking about RAM or drive space. I have lots of drive space (~11GB free). So, I assume that I should start looking at Memory.

Yes, it's talking about RAM there - which version of Unity is this? Sounds like a good old fashioned memory leak creeping up on your over time and taking the system down. Several memory and handle leaks have been fixed over the last several releases - 3.1(5) is pretty tight.
