A client has Unity 3.x running for the last couple of months and in the last two days it slowly loses some functionalities. The client complaints that MWI all of a sudden not working anymore and the refresh button did not help. In addition unified messaging also stop. The client then said that Unity gave a message saying it unable to contact the mail server. Then gradually Unity just stopped and does not work anymore. Even a reboot did not bring up Unity. This is the output of the event log

My understanding is Unity will continue to function despite Exchange not working. However I have a feeling the message stored locally on Unity gradually fill up the hard disk and over time Unity just stop, is this correct?
Please help me because the client is off the air.
Cheers

That event log looks a lot like a system log. We'd be able to know for from an application log. However, if you are dealing with a down system, you might want to call TAC, as the forum might not be the best place to handle down systems.

Unity will not fuction without the message store... can take the messag e but as mentioned the hard disk space is an issue. Need to insure the mail server is online. Will the Unity services start? If so make sure DNS and FQDN resoluiton exists between both server. (server.company.com) both ways.
