In 2.46 there was a limitation for Unified messaging as it required one unity server per exchange 'site'. Can someone please advise, has this issue been resolved in unity 3.x , i.e using exchange 2000 AD - can one Unity system (UM) server serve multiple sites with exchnge 2000?

thanks

Jeff

The limitation on Exchange 5.5 sites still exists with 3.x. Exchange 2K does not have a concept of sites.

Anil,
thanks for this. What is the equivelant limitation in ex2k.
i.e should we have one unity server per exchange 2k server?

The equivalent boundary in E2K is a routing group. You'd only want to put a routing group boundary in for low bandwidth connections between groups of well connected servers and you wont want Unity logging into mailboxes and streaming messages in/out of them over low bandwidth connections so we require a Unity per routing group at a minimum.
