Unity sever

Hello everyone.

I was wondering can you run a unity server as a standalone server without introducing it to the network.

Thanks

Re: Unity sever

The network requirements are listed here: http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/voice/c_unity/sysreq/30_sysrq.htm#xtocid21. I don’t think it will operate as anything without some level of connectivity.

Re: Unity sever

Unity uses either Exchange 5.5. or 2000 as a message store. Both of these require the presence of a domain.

Re: Unity sever

It can--depending on what you're trying to do--work standalone. With a dialogics card connected to a PBX, having network access is only for administrative convenience.
