Unity User Import Error w/ E2k Front-End server

We have an Exchange 2000 front-end server in our organization, solely to handle OWA connections.

Since the front-end server was deployed, Unity gives the following error when adding subscribers to the system:

"Error: illegal configuration: MailStore list cannot be empty (for server FRONTEND) in Active Directory configuration. See Unity Troubleshooting Guide."

Once you click OK at the popup, everything proceeds normally, but the delay and the error message are annoying.

I understand that the error is generated due to the frontend server not having an information store, but there's no mention of this error or how to eliminate it in the unity docs, and the 'lovely' new search tool on the Cisco website returns nothing on this error.

Is there any way to tell our unity servers to ignore the front-end server when looking for subscribers to import?

Here is the defect:

http://www.cisco.com/cgi-bin/bugtool/onebug.pl?bugid=CSCdy14076

It should be fixed in 3.1(6) and 4.0(1) when those are released.

This is a known defect, but I can't find the number either right now! I'll look around a bit more, but if I can't find it, I should be able to get when in the office.
