I have recently installed Unity 4 on an ICS 7750 also running CallManager 3.3(2), I am now looking to configure unified messaging. Unity currently uses Exchange 2000 located on the ICS but obviously I now need to use an external Exchange server for unified messaging to work. Is this a common migration path or am I going to have to rebuild the ICS Unity server to accomplish this.
The external mail server will be a clean install MS Exchange 2000, I am considering making it the GC for the AD domain and allowing the ICS Unity server to join that AD. I am not sure if this is the best approach so I am open to suggestions if anyone has done this before.
