Unity VM to UM

we need to have phone system and VM up and running at our new building before the data network implementation. Question is later on when we have Exchange 5.5 (or 2000) setup, how do we integrate VM into UM ? Thanks for help.<br>Duc Vu<br><br>

Re: Unity VM to UM

The Unity 3.0 installation guide does touch on the supported conversions:
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/voice/c_unity/unity30/inst/inst301/inst_010.htm#xtocid171769 " target="_new">http:// http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/doc/product/voice/c_unity/unity30/inst/inst301/inst_010.htm#xtocid171769

Here is a copy/paste:

A Cisco Unity system can be converted from one configuration to another for selected configurations. Note that converting from either of the Voice Messaging configurations to the Unified Messaging with One Exchange Server configuration requires an upgrade to the Cisco Unity system key....The following conversions are supported:
1. Voice Messaging Only to Voice Messaging with LAN Administration
2. Voice Messaging Only to Unified Messaging with One Exchange Server
3. Voice Messaging with LAN Administration to Unified Messaging with One Exchange Server.

Conversions to Unified Messaging in an Existing Exchange Site are not supported. To convert to this configuration, you must reinstall all software.
