I have done all the needed service packs and hotfixes required.. I run the cd1 setup and it brings me through the licensing and then it says it is updating my configuration but shows no progress and Ive left it there for 30 minutes. I have stopped it and re ran it twice to no eval..any thoughts..?

Amy Jones
Senior Systems Analyst
AAC Associates
703-918-6394

Do you have any anit virus package running on the Unity server? We have seen this happen a lot when you have virus detection systems on the server. It can take upto 6 hours for Unity setup to complete as all the files we are putting on the drive are being verified by the anti virus software.
You can either wait for this to complete, or stop the anti virus services before you start the install/urgrade.

I have no anti virus software on it at all.....any other thoughts...

Check the tempu.log. See what was the last entry in there before you cancelled the setup.

Looks like the setup was trying to upgrade your SQL database. I am not sure what happenes now that you stopped it in the middle of the upgrade. It might be nice to involve TAC as they might need to look at the tables etc.

In the meantime, check the file
C:\DOCUME~1\unity30\LOCALS~1\Temp\CommServer_05022002_220439\VersionMigration\Migration.log

Looks like this was the file that the version migration was writing its log to. I saw the name of the file in the tempu.log statements you posted.

There were no Migration.log files and that is what tac wanted...I am going to try the migration again...
