Upgrade from CCM 3.1.3 to CCM 3.3

Hi Guys,

I want to upgrade my Call Manager Cluster from 3.1.3 to 3.3. I have seen a lot of documentation about this from Cisco about the procedure.

However, I was hoping someone had some real-world experience to share about this. I understand that CCM 3.3 has a different call processing engine from 3.1.3.

Hi Ade,

When upgrading from 3.1 to 3.3, the biggest difference is the change from SQL7 to SQL 2000 as the database engine. You have to upgrade from 3.1.3 to 3.1.4b, and install the backup utility version 3.5.44 and backup your system to an off-server location.Then you wipe your server and start from scratch!! Install CCM 3.3, restore the DB. It works Ok, and we have done it here.

Just look at _all_ of the upgrade guides and release notes and make sure to follow them to the letter.

If you do, this procedure works well.
