The existing key will work fine, however you'll need to get an upgrade code for it if you're integrating with CM since you need an integration type of "TAPI" on there. The 2.4.6 setup will ask you if you want to upgrade your key on the fly as part of the install process, so it should be pretty painless.
also, if you want to add new features/limits as part of your upgrade, you'd take care of that here as well.
