Upgrading CallManager

I am (trying) to upgrade to CallManager 3-1-4b. I installed SQL Server 2000 SP3.

When I run the install, it says that I must have SQL server SP3 installed. Why doesn't it recognize that I have SQL 2000 w/ SP3?

Hi Tom,

Cisco CallManager uses Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 and requires SQL7 SP3 or later to function. (although for some reason I thought SP4 was required)

If you have installed Microsoft SQL Server 2000 then I am afraid you are very far away indeed from supported-land. Hopefully you have a restore point which you can use to go back to pre-SQL2000 and install the correct software levels in order to perform the upgrade.

In any case, you should be able to find hopefully everything you ever wanted to know about upgrading to Cisco CallManager 3.1(4b) at this URL. Good luck!!

Hi!

Did you use the Cisco Version of the SP or the original Microsoft version? In any case, you should only use the Cisco one!
