I'm upgrading a number of our remote office to 8.0(3) for the 7970. I'm currently getting only 7kbytes/sec, so each phone is taking a long time to perform the upgrade. If I attempt to upgrade too many at the same time, some will fail to finish and not load the new firmware.
Is it possible to have a local tftp server (perhaps the router), set option 150 temporarily to point to the new tftp server then reload the phones? I'm assuming that once they've pulled down the new firmware they'll start the upgrade process and then I can set option 150 to point back at the publisher.
Any other throughts on how to upgrade a large number of phones over the WAN?
