On CD #1 from the 2.4.6 set there's a Documentation directory. Under that you'll see a "Manuals in Acrobat format" directory where you'll find the "InstallationGuide.PDF" file. In there check out the "Upgrading Hardware and Software" chapter. It has reasonably detailed processes for backing up, removing drivers, upgrading and all that. It should get you from A to B here.
